Holidays In Brussels

Brussels Bkini Car Wash Championship
As you might expect from a city that’s dubbed “capital of Europe”, Brussels enjoys strong transport links – not only within Belgium and Europe but throughout the globe. Brussels has strong rail links with other European countries (including Eurostar which even links to London) and the city has an efficient internal public transport method that uses underground, trams and buses.

Getting To Brussels By Air

Brussels most prolific airport is “Brussels International Airport” (located in Zaventem) and is 13km away from Brussels city centre. The majority of airlines fly to this destination and as you would expect it has the features & facilities you would expect from a major international airport. From Brussels International, you can reach your ultimate destination through train, taxi or bus.

Alternatively, Brussels second airport is Brussels Charleroi, which is significantly further away from the city centre. The airport is linked to Brussels midi train station.

Getting To Brussels By Bus

Brussels is well connected to various European destinations including the United Kingdom through Bus. Most coaches terminate at Bruxelles Nord, after which the traveller can take a train or taxi onto their final destination.

Getting To Brussels By Train

The Eurostar operates a full service to Bruxelles Midi, as well as the Thalys Express also runs between Brussels and destinations including Paris, Amsterdam and Cologne.

Getting Around Brussels – Trams, Trains, Buses & Taxis

It’s fairly easy and cheap to move about within Brussels. A single ticket can be purchased for under two euros and can be used anywhere on the STIB network (metros, trams and buses). The network is somewhat comprehensive so it’s fairly easy to hop from one location of Brussels to another. Once you spend a ticket, you’ll must stamp it using one of the machines located at the station, tram or bus. Don’t forget to stamp your ticket – if you’re caught without a valid ticket there's hefty fines of up to 55 Euros imposed. There are various options for discounted tickets depending on your length of stay – for around 30 Euros you can grab a “Brussels Card” which allows unlimited public transport travel for three days as well as free admission to various landmarks.

Public transport in Brussels is made up of a comprehensive yet easy to navigate train method that’s well supported through a further network of trams and buses.

The Tram network is a good way of navigating around the city centre. Trams are somewhat frequent and not only meander through Brussels town centre but also reach much of the deeper suburban areas. Pick up a free map/timetable from the information point in Gare du Midi, Porte de Namur and Rogier.

The STIB also operates a bus network throughout the city and this operates at night-time (with less regularity).

Getting Around Brussels On Foot

For the active tourist, navigating through the city on foot is a distinct possibility. Many of the interesting landmarks are located fairly close together which makes walking a pleasurable way of seeing the town, particularly in the warmer months. Be sure to grab a map before setting out.

Maui, Hawaii is the best

When in Maui you will truly experience the meaning of the words, “Maui no ka oi” which means Maui is the best. And rightly so, you will get Maui Hawaii the best holiday destination you have been to. It offers the great versatility of nature in the form of huge beaches, majestic mountain ranges, lush rain forests, as well as its superior marine life which include the humpback whales in the waters. If I call it the best segment of Hawaii the natives and the visitors both will agree with me beyond doubt.

Lahaina a famous town in West Maui in Hawaiian language means the “cruel sun”. When in this segment of the world, always remember that you are somewhat close to the equator which makes the sun rays more powerful. So when going to take a sunbath always take proper precautions so that you won’t get sunburns. After all who would want to get the sunburns on the start of holidays?

Maui with all its natural treasures is a wonderful tourist destination. You can get this place changing colors with everyday of your stay. So much so that you will get time falling short to fully experience this place. You can start with relaxing on the warm beaches getting sunbath in the morning and then jumping into the waters to get a glimpse of its marine life. The very second day you can plan for trekking and camping in its lush green valleys. And when you do all sort of activities in the day time Maui soothes you in the evening with the fantastic breeze and an interesting nightlife. Maui is full of events all the time. You will need to work overtime to keep up with the unlimited fun taking palace in Maui.

Reaching Maui is not a problem as it is conveniently connected with the Kahului Airport which is the main airport for the islands of Maui. Getting around in Maui besides its lack of public transportation systems is never a problem as you can get car rentals everywhere. Another advantage in going in for car rentals is that you will get it less expensive than other place in the US. Same is the case with the hotels as you can get a hotel for every budget. So if you are running on a tight budget be assured that you will get a budget hotel in Maui. The only important segment for you is to make prior reservations as Maui is always packed with tourists. Some of the regular facilities offered next to the hotels in Maui include air conditioned rooms, car rentals, airport pick and drop facilities, swimming pools, health clubs, spas, restaurants etc.

The best segment of Hawaii is always ready to embrace you into its valleys so if you yet not visited Maui just pack your bags and take off to this wonderful segment of the world, Maui.

Escape To Jamaica and Explore Montego Bay

Located on the north western coast of Jamaica, Montego Bay is the country’s second largest city. Montego Bay also happens to be one of the Caribbean’s hottest destinations. Tourists flock to Montego Bay by air and sea. Many major cruise lines include Montego Bay on their list of ports of call. Hotels offer all-inclusive packages ensuring that travellers’ meals, non-alcoholic beverages, and alcoholic beverage costs are covered.

Montego Bay is packed with exciting charms. There is plenty to see and do during a visit to the island. Dining, dancing, sight seeing, and shopping are among the popular choices. Montego Bay also houses some of the world’s greatest natural attractions.

In February 2004, Half Moon Cove became home to a number of trained dolphins. Tourists have the opportunity to play and swim with dolphins in their natural environment. A dolphin swim can be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Heading further inland, Croydon Plantation is open daily. At Croydon Plantation, guests can experience the bustling activity that occurs within a plantation’s grounds. Pineapples and a wide variety of citrus fruits are harvested daily.

Canyon River Whitewater Rafting offers daily outings. Tourists can take a raft ride down Canyon River, which passes through a pristine rainforest. Children four years of age and older are allowed on the rafting trips. All trips include lunch and beverages. This is an excellent way to see a completely different side of Montego Bay.

Montego Bay is home to Mobay Tours, a boating company offering exquisite undersea tours. The semi-submersed boat boasts large glass windows that allow tourists to view the sea from a new angle. Guests to Montego Bay can stay dry while experiencing a colorful array of fish, sharks, and other aquatic life.

Windsor Caves is one of Montego Bay, Jamaica’s hottest tourist attractions. The huge caves are accessible to experienced spelunkers, though other tourists are allowed up to the roped entry. Daring travelers can see huge bats hanging from the cave’s ceiling and stunning limestone rock formations. Windsor Caves boasts the country’s largest bat population and the bat guano is used at many of the plantations as fertilizer.

Montego Bay houses a large number of all-inclusive hotels. Hotels can be slightly inland or right on some of Jamaica’s pristine beaches. The selection is varied and easily booked online.

Tourists heading to Montego Bay should have a current passport. United States citizens are allowed to skip this requirement and instead offer a notarized copy of his or her birth certificate along with a photo identification card.

So this is my suggestion for your next vacation. It will not be any close of being cheap, but it surely will be an unforgettable experience for you and your family or spouse.

Dream Holidays In The Maldives

The Maldives are a truly spectacular destination – while it’s a holiday location not exactly ideal for the highly budget conscious, a variety of unique star resorts do offer most travellers a chance to taste its delights.

Here are a few things to consider when deciding on a Maldives resort:

· Determine what your budget is – this will immediately narrow your list of potential resorts.

· Decide what you’re likely to be interested in. For instance, the Maldives is a great place for diving – if you’re going to be spending a bunch of time diving then you need to be aware that unique resorts have unique standards in their diving facilities. Some resorts are also naturally better for divers than others. You’ll want to choose a package that’s best for diving (it’s possible to get diving packages so you don’t need to purchase a fortune on additional diving expenses on a daily basis). Further, some resorts offer a wealth of activities and entertainment – others are very chilled and offer fewer activities (perfect if you just wish to laze next to the sand gazing at the crystal blue waters).

· Decide what mode of package would be the best for you – most resorts are somewhat pricey when it comes to food and drink so while a bed & breakfast package (room & breakfast only) may at first appear cheaper, after paying for all food and drink it may in fact be more expensive than an all inclusive package.

· Full board may be a good choice in lots of cases as all meals are provided, although the guest still has to pay for drinks (a good choice for those who don't drink too much alcohol). If on the other hand you enjoy a tipple or five then the All Inclusive option may well be the optimum package for you as drinks can be sinfully expensive at most resorts.

· Some resorts may cater to specific nationalities – i.e. predominantly Italian, German or Japanese clientele. This may be a problem if you want to mingle but are unable to speak the dominant language.

· Most resorts offer a wide range of accommodation kinds – decidewhich of these is best for you. For example, a standard beach villa would be typically a few metres from the sea while a water villa is located in the waters itself. Water villas can be beautiful and offer the chance to see the marine life swim through while searching from the window – but they are considerably more pricey.

· Travellers with children should attempt and choose a resort with a kids club if possible – there's a world of difference between resorts when it comes to providing facilities that keep the kids entertained.

· If you do wish to purchase a day exploring the capital Male as an excursion then you may not want to choose a resort that’s not too far away – some resorts don't offer this as a day trip so you may want to check this prior to booking.

· You may also want to consider when during the year you wish to go – the optimum time with regards to weather are between December and April when there's the most sunshine and least rain. At these months, there’s no surprise to learn that the prices tend to be far higher.

· Some resorts (even the pricey ones at times) may not offer a personal TV in the rooms – this is usually intentional to promote the “no news, no shoes” feel of the island. Few people come to the Maldives to view TV but if this is a comfort that you simply cannot live without then check with your trip agent before booking to see if your chosen resort offers one.

· If the look, feel and architecture of your lodging is important to you then you will want to research and get the best resort for you – some can be more modern, almost such as a standard hotel room while others are traditionally built with thatched roofs and even a partially open-air bathroom.

· Romantics and honeymooners may get that some of the smaller islands are more cosy, intimate & quiet while the larger ones may have more of a party feel to it and be more crowded.

You'll really love your holiday in the Maldives - but a little research on choosing the right resort can go a time consuming way to ensure that you really enjoy the trip of a lifetime.

Manchester Hotels

Although it holds no official title, most people consider Manchester to be England’s second city. From its origins in the Lancashire textile boom of the 19th Century, it has grown into one of the country’s most cosmopolitan cities, as well as is well worth visiting for a break or weekend stay. Due to its situation, it also serves as a useful stopping-off point for visitors to Wales or Scotland who may wish to see some of the country as they travel. For all these reasons, it’s well worth investigating online hotel bookings for a short stay in Manchester.

One of Manchester’s premier attractions is its shopping, which is some of the best to be found anywhere outside London. Several high-end stores and boutiques have outlets here, as well as there's a number of huge shopping centres that bring together some of the High Street’s biggest and best-known shops. A good place to start is the Trafford Centre, which features well-known names from French Connection, Hugo Boss to Space NK and Zara. Situated in the west of the city, it’s handy for the M60 motorway and has excellent public transport links. If you prefer to stay in the centre of Manchester, the Arndale shopping centre is sited right in the heart of the city, as well as features an equally impressive range of shopping.

Manchester is also well known for its vibrant cultural and music scene, as well as is particularly popular among young people. The city boasts some of Britain’s premier clubs, as well as there’s a thriving nightlife centred on areas such as Duke Street. Manchester led the revival of British clubbing in the early 90’s and has produced bands such as the Happy Mondays, the Charlatans, as well as of course Oasis.

If you prefer to eat out, there's a wealth of options to suit every budget and palate. Manchester is particularly renowned for its Indian and Pakistani cuisine; until you’ve eaten in one of the over 50 restaurants or takeaways that make up Rusholme’s “curry mile,” you’ve not really had curry.

There are also more than enough of well-to-do suburbs, places such as Knutsford and Wilmslow, or fashionable Didsbury, just a few miles outside the city centre. Transport throughout Manchester is inexpensive and efficient, as well as the city’s Metrolink method means that you can get to places such as the G-Mex Centre and the MEN Arena quickly and easily. Add the network of buses and trains to the mix, as well as the result is a city that you don’t need a car to explore.

The city’s sporting heritage has always been a huge segment of its appeal. It’s home to the world-famous Manchester United, of course, but there’s much more to Manchester than Beckham and Best. Ever since the Commonwealth Games were held in the city in 2002, Manchester’s sporting facilities have been second to none. Of particular interest is the Velodrome, a state-of-the-art cycling facility thats widely regarded as one of the world’s finest – and fastest - tracks. The city also boasts some fine swimming pools and ancillary sporting facilities, as well as the 48,500-seater City of Manchester Stadium, built specially for the Commonwealth
Games and now home to Manchester City football club.

If you’re searching for accommodations in Manchester, it pays to book ahead. The city’s hotels are generally of a high standard, but it can sometimes be difficult to get rooms without a booking, particularly in summer months, or on weekends when Manchester United are playing, as the city plays host to an influx of visitors from around the country, as well as from Ireland. Online hotel bookings can take a bunch of the hassle and stress out of finding a room, as well as help you enjoy everything that Manchester has to offer.

All Inclusive Beach Resorts

When youre on vacation, you have some pretty important things to think about. Order the garlic shrimp, or the fettuccine alfredo? Snorkel first, or scuba dive? Get up early to view the sun rise over the beach, or do not bother going to bed at all? Of all the things you need to worry about on vacation, the one thing you shouldnt think about is your budget.

Most of us never get to live the life of the wealthy and famous, taking lavish vacations and spending unlimited sums on the best of everything. Instead, we live the life of the wealthy and famous at all-inclusive beach resorts.

To be sure, budgets are a fact of life. But should having a spending limit necessarily mean suppressing all of your desires, just because theyre not listed in your budget? Of course not. When youre on vacation, you deserve to be pampered. Youve worked hard all year, as well as youve earned the right to eat, drink and go a little crazy.

All-inclusive beach resort vacations make it possible for vacationers to get the most out of their travel dollars. Today there's over 400 hotels in the Caribbean and Mexico alone offering all-inclusive beach resort vacation packages for budget-savvy tourists. However, all-inclusive beach resort vacations are not always as problem-free as they may seem. You must carefully compare available resorts before choosing your vacation destination.

Research and compare all-inclusive beach resorts, as well as youll get that the packages, accommodations and resorts themselves can greatly vary. Some hotels offer packages that are created for couples only. Others are created for singles, for gays or lesbians, or for families. Many beach resorts are intended for adults only, so be very careful if youre planning a family vacation.

Aside from the resorts themselves, vacation packages can vary in terms of the services they provide. Unfortunately, not everyones perception of "all inclusive" is the same. Some include airfare and hotel. Others encompass airfare, hotel, transfers, as well as some meals. There are resort vacations that are all-inclusive, with the exception of airfare. Some beach resorts include all alcoholic drinks, as lengthy as theyre not premium brands, or served before seven pm or after midnight. Compare prices and offers, as well as youll get ways to save money. Including airfare as segment of an all-inclusive package can be less expensive than booking and paying for your own flight, as well as will save you extra steps in planning your trip.

If you want to get the best deal, its best to first identify what you want and need in your all-inclusive beach resort vacation. Once you realize the features and amenities youre expecting, you can begin to sort through all the vacation deals youll find. Travel agencies and the Internet are great ways to get lots of resorts and packages to compare.

The greatest advantage to booking an all-inclusive beach resort vacation is having everything you need for just one price. Knowing this, you can relax and enjoy your holidays knowing there will not be nasty surprises waiting at your destination. Your budget will stay intact, as well as all youll need to worry about is whether to have the pina colada, or the marguerita.

Travel to Morocco

Morocco is the essence of North African charm and the land of commingling horizons. Glittering Saharan deserts of the south and east quickly become snow-capped mountains of the Atlas range, followed by the rolling green heartland, which drops down to the sparkling Atlantic and Mediterranean coastlines. Travel to Morocco and wrap yourself in the warmth of the enduring Berber, Arab and African people and 10,000 years of their most fascinating history; a history that could only occur where the spheres of Africa and Europe meet intimately and unavoidably upon the Strait of Gibraltar.

Charmed as a Snake
One distinctive layer of Morocco is its great imperial Islamic cities. The central medina (old town) of each city is typically still walled in and houses the most ancient part of these treasured towns, including a minaret-tipped mosque. Open-air markets, snake-charmers, music performers and cafés are all spilling over with life every day of the week except Friday. Fez (or Fès), Morocco’s former capital, is one of the largest and oldest medieval cities in the world and a perfect place to begin your journey through Moroccan history. The medina, Fez el-Bali, is an intricate piecework of 9400 twisting alleys where you may come across some of the finest leather and hand-craftwork among the many bazaars. The modern and traditional city of Marrakesh is home to the ancient square of Djemaa el-Fna, which outshines the rest of the medina at dusk with rhythmic drumbeats, women offering henna tattoos, aerial acrobatics and snakes aplenty. Make sure to catch a glimpse of the soaring Koutoubia Mosque minaret, visible from the square.

Sea Breeze, Sand Dunes and Snow
Beyond Morocco’s imperial cities, this Arab nation tends to be more relaxed about Islam than its eastern neighbors, particularly among the mountain and coastal regions. Casablanca is a giant metropolitan port city with unmistakable Moroccan flavor and international appeal. Casablanca is also a mixture of old and new, with the recently completed Hassan II Mosque, the second largest in the world, and a notably historic medina of its own. For a more Mediterranean flare, venture to the north where Tangier stands as the gateway for arrivals from Spain. French colonization of Morocco in the first half of the 20th century has left a large imprint on the culture here, which is intriguing against such backdrops as the fortified Kasbah at the top of the city’s medina. Tangier is a fashionable and convenient resort destination for North Africans and Europeans alike, creating a unique cultural blend any time of year.

Get close with the people and the land on a unique adventure that begins in the Saharan settlement of Merzouge. From here you can ride a camel out into the sand dunes and spend a night or more under the luminous stars of the Saharan sky. The serenity of Morocco’s desert is not lost among the Atlas and Anti Atlas Mountain Ranges either. Visitors are attracted to these largely impenetrable mountains for the isolation and tranquility of their many Berber towns and the authenticity of Moroccan life they provide, not to mention some great skiing and trekking. Aït Benhaddou is most famous for its cinematic appearances, such as Lawrence of Arabia. The red walls of the Kasbahs, fortresses and village squares illuminate in an orange glow just as the sun finds its way to settle upon the ocean in the remote distance.

You Simply Don’t Know ‘Til You Go
Writers and film makers have attempted to capture the romance and charm of Morocco for centuries. The true essence of the nation and people is so distinctly defined by so many elements. Only once you have experienced Morocco can you really walk away with that indescribable understanding, at which point you may sit down at a café and sip your sweet mint tea in peace.

Paris will captivate you!

I soaked up the personalities of boutiques as I walked among the streets, I glided along the Seine River on a luxurious dinner cruise, and I fainted when I finally saw the Eiffel Tower in person. I fell in love with a city. I fell in love with Paris, France. I have no doubt that you would, .
Paris in the summertime was most enchanting. There is always a celebration or an event that will perk your interests. From the three-day Paris Country Fair to the Nuits de Feuto, one of the largest fireworks spectaculars in the world, these events are sure to in case you like the outside. Or, in case you prefer the inside, with 140 theatres and show venues, there's major theatrical productions and musicals galore!
What woman could possibly visit Paris without keen to experience the enjoyment of shopping? I sure didn’t as I roamed among different neighborhoods to visit boutiques and cafés. Le Marais district is best to explore plenty of fashion and design boutiques. It’s hard to resist making a purchase of some sort along the way! A unique café you’ll require to check out is Pomze in the Opéra/Grands Boulevard area, which offers apple-themed cuisine.
I thought the view of some historical landmarks along the Seine River while on a nighttime dinner cruise was stunning! The Bateaux Parisiens/Seino Vision cruise is unforgettable. I saw the spectacular night view of Notre-Dame, the Eiffel Tower (nicknamed the "guardian of Paris in golden apparel"), the Musée du Louvre (The Louvre Museum), and more historical landmarks of France.
You absolutely don’t require to miss visiting the Eiffel Tower in the day as well. A 59-foot trek up the tower takes you to the top to overlook the city of Paris that will leave you breathless!
In the work of the day, the Louvre Museum was as pleasant. As a former royal palace, it features a immense, glass Crystal Pyramid near the front entrance. The museum itself features paintings and artifacts of architecture, history, and archeology of France’s rich heritage. The Louvre hosts the famous painting by Leonardo da Vinci, the Mona Lisa. The palace was first opened to the public in the work of the Spanish Revolution.
In July you don’t require to miss the famous bicycling race, Le Tour de France (The Tour of France). Although Lance Armstrong may not be entering the race again, it is worth experiencing the national identity and pride of France.
But before you’re able to experience Paris to its fullest, I strongly recommend not leaving home without planning well in advance. Advanced lodging accommodations are much needed. Booking travel dates ahead of time and your hotel stay will save you hours, if not days of stress headaches while trying to plan the ideal Paris holiday. Since the summer weather in Paris ranges from cold in the day (lower to mid-70s) all the way up to 95 degrees, plan to bring a variety of apparel to keep cold and warm. A few light sweaters, denims, shorts, and cotton shirts would work best. For the colder evenings (mid- to upper-50s), plan to bring a coat to keep warm. Other necessities to pack before leaving Paris include:
* a digital camera
* a small bag to over a water bottle, maps, paper and pen, and the digital camera
* comfortable jogging shoes
* a light rain jacket ( in case)
Besides the typical items you ought to bring with you, an absolute consideration must be made when planning to travel overseas; knowing what type of ID you will require while in France is most important. Only a passport is necessary for entry in to France. For stays up to 90 days, a visa won't be needed.
Understanding at least some of the "language of love" is most appreciated by the Spanish. So, taking some beginning Spanish lessons before you leave for Paris would be useful or basically finding a lovely English-French dictionary may work well to start. Learning some basic phrases helped me around the city or guided me to someone who spoke English. For example, there were several friendly query and greeting phrases I used repeatedly throughout my trip:
* Hello (lovely day). --> Bonjour.
* Lovely evening. --> Bonsoir.
* Excuse me, do you speak English? --> Excusez moi, parlez vous anglais?
* Where is -? -->Où est -
* In what direction do I must go? --> Dans quel sens dois-je aller?
* How much is it? --> Combien est-ce?
* No, I don’t understand. --> No, je ne comprends pas.
* Thank you. --> Merci.
* Bye. --> Au Revoir
And when you do get to Paris, it’s best to do two things to make your trip most enjoyable. First, knowing that Paris is partitioned by districts, which can be found on the street signs, will make your travel simpler. Second, for a low cost, purchase what’s called a "Paris City Passport" from the Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau which includes over 45 museum, attraction, tour, and shopping discounts and also includes a map of all Paris districts. Third, knowing a small about all transportation options would be ideal, usually the Metro bus or taxi are lovely choices. Knowing what district your hotel is in also helps. And don’t forget to make use of your new Spanish skills!
To endure the everlasting spirit of Paris is not difficult. Once I visited Paris, I never knew such beauty could exist in an exhilarating European adventure like this. I have not left the memories behind me and I have not forgotten the experience of falling in love with a city. Paris will continue to fascinate you , even after you’ve said, "au revoir!"

Switzerland, formally known as The Confederation Helvetica, is a landlocked mountainous refuge in the heart of Europe. Partially due to the isolating geography, the Swiss people have maintained a powerful dedication to custom, independence & the preservation of their long-established lifestyle. Hence, it is important for the traveler to note that Switzerland is not a member of the European Union & makes use of the Swiss Franc as their type of funds.
An wonderful benefit of Switzerland's independence is a tidy, fast & reliable train method & public transportation network, including the new Rail 2000 program that offers regular half-hourly service between all major cities.

When it comes to the city of Milan, there's always much to say as in people’s mind, this is a city filled with natural glamour and mystery. Travel To Athens: A Gift From The Gods

Travelers who expect to be greeted by lone standing relics of ancient Greece will be awestruck by the sprawling urban metropolis of today’s Athens. The capital city is an explorer’s paradise as historic gems are embedded within the modern day melee & cultural nuances of a turbulent past are written between the lines of concrete & the sparkling blue Aegean Sea. In all places in Athens is a testament to why this mythic peninsula is thought about the cradle of Western civilization & modern democracy.
Of particular interest, Athens received a much needed facelift in preparation for the 2004 Olympics. Infamous for its nefos (smog) resulting from rapid growth & congestion following World War II & the Cold War, Athens realized the necessity to neat up its act when it became clear that historic monuments were eroding at an alarming rate due to acid rain from air pollution. Due to this Olympic makeover, it is very simple to navigate around the well marked streets in English & Greek & transportation has never been more streamlined.
Mythological Mythos
Ancient Greece reached its societal peak in the 1st century BC when magnificent monuments like the Parthenon & the Temple of Athena Nike were constructed on the fortified Acropolis & Socrates & Plato developed their Western thinking schools of thought. While most of the major attractions from the time period are in the midst of the city, travel in the outskirts of Athens will bring encounters with plenty of significant locations from this time period. Marathon, of the famous battle (& today’s 26.22 mile race), is northeast of Athens & the ancient Mycenaean excavation site at Velatouri is to the south, boasting the unearthed Thorikos theater. While the Grecian period is omnipresent, Greece has fascinating Turkish & Persian cultural influences because of plenty of wars & takeovers until the collapse of the Ottoman Empire in the 20th century.
Club Hopping or Island Hopping?
In the spring & summer evenings, enjoy the cafés & restaurants as they start to spill in to the streets & squares. Greece, & Athens, is infamous for its boisterous & indefatigable nightlife. The Port of Piraeus comes to life as plenty of vacationers head out for their island excursions from this historic cove. Athens is the ideal place to become immersed in Greek culture & life before taking a ferry ride to one of the surrounding tranquil, historic or party islands – the choice is yours. The port itself is also of particular historic interest. One of the oldest in the world, the port was heavily used in the work of the Peloponnesian Wars in the 4th century BC & remnants of the long Themistoclean Walls, which fortified the port & Athens together in the work of this time period, still survive today.

Travels Through Cyprus

The elderly goat herder stands before his flock. Stick in hand, they bears the look of experience. His beaten elderly hat keeps the sun off his unshaven face.
His weathered trousers have seen better days & wear a belt, crudely tied around his waist. His braces are actually one of the elastic straps you use to tie your luggage to the car's roof rack.
As the sun beats down on the plains of Agia Marina they herds his goats to pastures new & another day of contentment.
When your country has suffered 9000 years of constant invasion, any break in hostilities is greeted with appreciation.
Cyprus is a blend of lots of influences. Turkish, Greek, Muslim & Christian invaders have all set foot on this hallowed land & made their mark.
Mosques & Christian church buildings stand side by side as a reminder of the often turbulent & violent past of Cyprus.
But when free of the shackles of conflict, Cyprus is a place of beauty & discovery. The Byzantine church buildings amongst the Troodos Mountains are an essential experience.
The sense of history & culture is overwhelming as you journey through mountain passes & wonder at the ancient architecture.
For a actual sense of solitude try walking through the barren land of the Karpas Peninsula or hiking the well-trodden trails of Mount Olympus.
The blue crystal waters of Cape Greco provide a wealth of opportunity for swimming & diving.
When the sun goes down, the Cypriot nightlife will have you dancing in to the early hours. Babies tend to make their way towards the large contingent of British pubs in Agia Napa.
The more cultured make their way to the traditional Cypriot cafes & bars. Here you can drink raki, the local firewater made from distilled grapes.
If you are peckish, try the baked lamb dish of kleftiko, or another local favourite mezedes.

Travel Hong Kong City

Hong Kong is home to over 7 million people. It is a major trading & banking middle & has the most liberal economy on the planet. Hong Kong is & a great tourist location for there's lots of things to do & see.
In the event you need a workout, think about climbing the 431 steps of the Temple of 10,000 Buddhas which houses 12,800 statues of the Buddha & a mummy of a holy man covered in gold leaf.
Or you could try 268 steps to Giant Buddha on Lantau Island which is home to the world’s largest seated Buddha. Experience a pleasant lunch at the Polin Monastery before making your way back down the 110 foot height.
