Best Deals for October - Munich

To give a brief information about Munich, the 3rd largest city of Germany, has a population around 1.47 million. Every year, Munich’s numerous architectural attractions, international sports events, fairs, exhibitions  and the famous festival “Oktoberfest” attract considerable tourist.

Munich is a fantastic city to wander around, taking some photos and taking in spectacular sights. Marienplatz, the main square, is walking distance from the central train station and is a good place to start from, you can see the Old and New Town Hall’s nearby. The Peterskirche (also called St. Peter or Alter Peter), close to Marienplatz, is the oldest church of the city. It was built during the Romansque period, and was the focus of the early monastic settlement in Munich before the city’s official foundation in 1158. Close to Peterskirche, the Gothic hall-church Heiliggeistkirche (The Church of the Holy Spirit) was converted to baroque style from 1724 and looks down to the Viktualienmarkt, the most popular market of Munich.

Frauenkircheis the most popular architecture in the city centre and serves as a cathedral. Nearby, Michaelskirche is the largest renaissance church north of the Alps, while the Theatinerkircheis a basilica which had a major influence on Southern German baroque architecture. Its dome dominates the Odeonplatz.

If you desire to stay close to those gorgeous architectures, you can chose from a range of 284 hotels on Galahotels.com/Munich .

Thinking of a bird’s eye view? Try Alter Peter, never doubt climbing to 56 meters tall tower which takes approximately 300 steps. Want to see splendid colors? Visit it in the afternoon, before sunset. On a clear winter day, this view stretches up to the Alps! Another panoramic view is at the Olympiaberg mount, where 1972 Olympic Games took place. Especially the Alps look stunning during sunrise.

Maybe, you wouldn’t have witnessed a game in Allianz Arena (the home stadium of Bayern Munich) but you have the chance to take a tour to see the cells which holligans are being sentenced, changing rooms, the football pitch, which starts at 13:00 with a fee of 10Euros! As a footnote, Bayern Munich is Germany’s most successful club and a multiple UEFA Champions League winner.

As a reminder; On October, the average degrees for Munich are 13.2°C in the morning and 4.7°C at night.
